Santander Poor Service Still

If you want to avoid unnecessary frustration and anger then avoid having dealings with Santander in general and the Didcot branch in particular. I had thought that they had improved in customer service but today proved to be the contrary. Tried to close a savings account in Didcot branch doomed from start. Was told could only get my money by cheque when Head Office had closed the account. Turns out that staff talking rubbish and had not been trained properly. Now have to go back again as further signatures required,not able or willing to simply post it out, not going that bit further to make up for their error.

I'm not surprised after my interview with them a long way back! They rejected me final stage (2 years experience) for an ex colleague of mine with 2 weeks experience and whom was probably going to be let go because of concerns over protecting customer data.
Of course, maybe things have changed since then but it did make me chuckle when I found out0
