Halifax Clarity card

Hi All

the MSE page on cashbach cards states that the Clarity card and Reward Clarity card are the same thing and that the "reward" part (potential £5 cashback per month) will be "automatically added if/when you meed the criteria.

I have the Clarity card and would like the cashback, so I called halifax to find out how, and I was told that it is one or the other.

So who is right, MSE or Halifax. If MSE page is wrong then how do I get them to change it?

    MSE is right, that was confirmed by many people here, and, I believe, even by the T&C.

    Just spend on the card. If you meet the criteria u shld get cashback after statement date, if you don't, then u can ask them. Not much to lose if it's spending you will be doing anyway.

    The difference between a Halifax Clarity card and a Halifax Clarity Reward card is set on in clause 11 of the Terms and Conditions:
    11.2 - To be eligible for the reward [...], you must, at the time you enter into this agreement:-

    (a) hold a Halifax current account and pay in £1,000 or more each month;
    (b) use our switching service to move your current account to a Halifax Current Account and agree to pay in £1,000 or more each month;
    (c) open or hold a Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Account.

    The words "at the time you enter into this agreement" are important.
  • Thanks. My problem may be that at the time I entered into the agreement I was not paying in £1k per month into my current account. I am now, so we'll see what happens. I suspected MSE wouldn't be wrong.
