Hi Guys, This morning when I go into my Yahoo mail, I keep getting this message -
You’re seeing Basic Mail because you’re using an unsupported Internet browser. Upgrade your browser or get the mobile app for the full Yahoo experience.
I'm using IE, is the message coming up because Microsoft have stopped supporting IE, because I'm just using an old version still or is it because I have not switched to Windows 10?
Thanks

What version of IE are you using, and what is your Operating System? Obviously MS haven't stopped supporting IE, but they do drop support for old versions and I suspect that's what's happened to you. Whether you can then get a later version that will work depends on your OS.
Personally I'd just forget about IE and use another browser, my preference is Firefox but other people prefer Chrome.0 -
Yahoo mail no longer support IE versions below IE 10This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I'm on Windows 7.
How do I find out what version of IE I've got?
I do have firefox and chrome loaded but don't seem to get on very well with them, probably because I don't use them often enough to get used to them I suppose.
Thanks for your replies.0 -

Update your computer - Windows 7 should be running IE11.
Control Panel > System > Windows Update. Make sure you also choose to get updates for other Microsoft programs too.
I'd seriously consider upgrading to Window 10 too!0 -

Thanks, I'm worried about upgrading to Windows 10 as it is so new, they might not have sorted any problems with it yet.
As for the IE updates, I thought I was getting updates, it often brings up messages to say its updating, that's why I couldn't understand why it said it was an old browser.0
