Hi folks, just to inform you of a credit/debit card scam I have been a victim to today. I have been "done" to the letter of this scam reported last couple of months. See link for scam
http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/news/2194324/scammers-charity-donations-test-card-fraud
The "test" charity was Cancer Research UK for £2 on two occassions, 28/08 then 02/09 then on 02/09 two travel money transactions, one for £500 and one for £2000.
I have an idea, but no proof, that my card details may have came from my local shell petrol station as I've had "issues"using this card within the last 10 days.
Please be aware cause I've had a really stresful night dealing with my banks fraud department and would hate for it to happen to someone else.
The bank are dealing with it as definate fraud and have said that it'll be refunded but I want to know how and see some bas***d hang for it!! I'm speaking to the bank again tomorrow and then hopefully the police.
I've checked all recent online transactions and they've been through secure servers, not been to any restaurants and the card hasn't left my wallet. It feels like being mugged.
