My router is 30 feet away with two pre cast concrete walls in between.
Of course I can move both mobile phone and laptop closer to the router but that's not my query or problem.
When I'm 30 feet from my router with the concrete walls in between I don't get any drop off in download speed etc with my laptop ( I use a Free 1 Mbps wifi connection which gives me all the download speed I need for the stuff I do )

But my mobile phone which is next to my laptop continually drops the internet connection and when it is connected shows a poor connection.

Any ideas why this may be?
Is it just the difference in quality of the reception arials in the two devices?
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.
