what amount of money do you get on tax credits/child credit...

depending on the amount you earn. i think you get full tax credits when you earn under £5,000 per year but then i am not sure of the amounts for both working tax credits and child tax credits as soon as you start earning over this amount.any tips appreciated. it is not clear from entitledto.thanks in advance.

It depends on how many hours you work and how many children, wether you have disabilities etc.
  • I lost approx. £500 a year in tax credits for earning £6000 instead of £5000....still an extra £500 in my pocket though.

No childcare. My kids are 16 and 12
  • my child is 2 and as stated before i am not entitled as we earn JUST above the limit. if i was to put her in child care i would be working for nothing and hve to fork out for childcare.
