I had the following quote for a 1 bedroom house. There is no existing CH system. The quote is for a 2 radiator system. It also involves removal of a hot water tank.

32kw!!! I'd be amazed if you need more than a 24. And £400 buys an awful lot of "miscellaneous" materials.0

He said £400 of materials is for pipe work and radiator valves.
I had a new tap installed for a manual shower and the water pressure isnt great. He said that the 32kw is for the hot water side, at 32kw I get 14 litres per minute meaning I have enough flow for 2 taps to be on at the same time.
He said that all combi boilers have a standard 18-22kw to the heating side, this is still over what I need but I can turn the heating down at the boiler to only give enough heat to these two radiators.
If I were to go for a smaller boiler I would need a hot water cylinder for the hot water and a pump for the shower.0 -
£400 for pipework for a small 2-radiator 1-bedroom house? Seems rather steep when valves are ~£10 a set...
The Great Declutter Challenge - £876

If it was me I'd be pricing up the materials fully myself - e.g. the base boiler is £1k inclusive of vat from the 1st google link

Have you measured you can get 14l min from the cold mains tap - only if you get this as a minimum will you get that from the hot side.0 -
