  • Sorry for delay. Just got a letter from solicitors. It states that thei client is willing to consent to the set aside on the condition that i plead and serve a defence within 21 days? They also request the matter be stayed for 6 months.
    What does all this mean?
My court date is tuesday :(
  • Please can someone advise
  • Hi, someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it means they are willing to set aside judgment (and in turn you paying so much a month) if you prepare and file your defence within 21 days. The stay is just a stay on proceedings, so basically once they receive the defence they may negotiate with you? I work for solicitors but not in this field so whilst I understand what the terms mean I'm not 100% on how they would be applied in your circumstances.
