Good morning.
Can you please help me.
I have flaky paint on the coving in the bathroom but I'm unsure how to sand down and repaint as the covings made of paper coating.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

I think you'll have to treat it the same as flaky paint on plasterboard (which also has a paper coating.)
What you need to do is buy a big tub of filler. This stuff from Wickes is what I use: http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-All-Purpose-Ready-Mixed-Filler-10kg/p/600242
Remove as much loose paint as you can, then put filler all round the remaining bits and sand it into a small ramp round the remaining paint.
This will be harder to do on coving, so might be quicker to replace it.0 -
The coving is essentially plasterboard so may be cheaper and easier to replace with a more bathroom friendly coving.0
