Store cards

I had a lot of store cards in my 20s, Debenhams, Principles, Evans and catalogues but now no longer have any account details. How do I go about attempting to reclaim PPI, I know I paid it but have no account numbers etc, they also don't show up on Experian as they were such a long time ago. Any advice would be great, thanks. Helen

Lots - mainly students - who took out store cards with the then Arcadia Group of stores (Top Shop, Debenhams, Principles, Burtons, etc) around 2000 onwards have recently been successful in reclaiming PPI on their historic store cards.

The Santander > FOS > Genworth route is proving successful.

Santander PPI team can usually locate the old account numbers. Genworth (Financial Ins Co Ltd) are the underwriters who have taken over the liability. Their address is on the above link.

How do you know you paid it?
What proof of payments do you have?
It is not a matter of reclaiming, you have to complain about it, explain why you feel it was not suitable.
Roughly how long ago were your "20s"? If 6+ years ago there is a fair chance (as required under the DPA) the firm will have deleted your records and despite the above link, if you nor they have any proof of payments then you can't get a refund

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Best to start your own new thread, marci25grnt.

But, yes potentially a store card(s) PPI reclaim as well as packaged account reclaim(s) if mis-sold etc; but, can't say without details.
