Landline deals with text messages

Hi folks,
I'm currently with plusnet for my phone line and broadband and can say I've never really had any issues.
I've recently had an alarm installed and now receive a text message from my landline to my mobile when arming/unarming and god forbid when some scrote tries getting in.
I've just been billed at 29p a text message which I find extortionate in this day and age, called plusnet to be told its billed wrong and it should be 12p(still too much I'd say)
Now plusnet have an add on for mobile calls(£3 a month for 100 mins) but no one can tell me if the package includes text messages. Does anyone on here have any clues and more to the point can anyone recommend a provider that has a package that might include text messages in such a package?
TIA

I think you need to cancel the regularity of those text messages.

I'm sure you can do without being informed when yourself or your family arms or disarms the alarm system.

Otherwise, that alarm is going to be very expensive to run even at 12p a text.
  • What you want is BT evenings and weekend, it includes text messaging from a land line should your phone be suitabe
