Thanks for all of you who gave advice on vacuum cleaners on a couple of old threads. I took (some) of your advice and bought a Miele Cat and Dog and its excellent. Never had a vacuum cleaner with such strong suction. It tries to lift our fitted carpet up if I have it on Max. I got this instead of the allergy one (Im asthmatic) because you get the turbo heads with this one, and you can buy a HEPA filter for it. Im used to uprights, but I find it easy enough to push especially with the turbo head. The carpets look visibly cleaner with just one sweep. It seems to have dredged a right load of stuff up too, and I thought the carpets were clean (ish)!
I also got 20% off and free delivery from Debenhams (codes PGGP and SHA1) so I got it for £150 approx instead of 189.
Im one happy bunny!:j
