Garden work - huge variation in quotes :(

We are hoping to get some work done in our garden and having taken advice from this forum we have obtained 3 quotes!!

We are in a rural(ish) area and are limited by who we can get in, but we have had quotes from 3 firms, all of which come highly recommended (facebook mums posse, friends etc).



So sleepers all the way around and at teh garden split level point and under the trampoline a stone circle.

All seemed to know what they were talking about and we'd go with any of them - but are we getting the same level of service and what would you do?

I would only question stone under the trampoline...not very forgiving and the trampoline not likely to be a permanent fixture? The saving between 1&3 could pay for a nice family holiday.The labour seems to be a big lump on 1 (stone circle probably).
Go with what you really want.

The trampoline has gone now the kids are older, hence us making it into a little patio area!!

Not all quotes are equal

First quote is silly cheap, I'd rule that out as they don't understand your needs if you've asked for a stone circle

Circle is around £320 , squaring off kit of needed £220ish

A decent 10x5 2.4m sleeper £30 each

Easily a 3-5 days work digging out,100mm compacted hardcore , laying slabs on a solid concrete sand base
