Can EDF accept meter readings online?

Getting a bad feeling about my move to EDF. Their system refuses to take my opening readings. Their promise of being contacted by customer services within 24 hours does not happen. Their online chat agents are permanently engaged. They have yet to respond to Emails on this subject.

Is there an EDF rep on here before I give up.

Edit 1 My Account opened. I can enter the opening balances but the EDF system rejects them. Have utilities connected by current supplier.

Edit 2 On day four of visiting my account I started an online chat in which I gave the requested opening meter readings.

  • They did with me when I was with them. You have to register your account/email and get passwords first. I think it takes awhile to get on the system though.

Yes, you can. I am with them and recently signed up online. It's very easy now to sign up because they've stripped out all the prying into your personal information as a condition of signing up.

By the way, don't tell your energy supplier your phone number. Why would they ever need it?

Mine would not accept the opening read until the day the supply was live.

Been with EDF for 3 years (I think). Their online system is pretty good in my experience. Better than BG who I was with before. I submitted readings last week and it instantly updated my credit balance. It might just need a bit of time.

    Yeah. easy to submit online.

I do mine with my iPhone now though. I don't even need to type it in, I can just send a photo and they'll do the rest.
