not going well

I can see this is going to be a good day- MyHermes is down for a number of people, including me so all my stuff is packed and I can't print any labels. Then when listing on my private account for uploading later I've got the photo not showing glitch, the one that has been reported to ebay for months and which apparently is all in our imagination.

I have pulled a whole load of stuff out of storage to list today as well, part spring clean and part just to use some of the hundreds of free listings they keep giving me.

I suspect for my own health it is probably better I just give up now, assume both MyHermes and ebay are incompetent as usual and take my box of stuff back to storage where it can linger for another 5 years.

Photograph it all and bang it on gumtree, less stress, maybe not so many sales, but an easier life

My last Gumtree sale was probably 5 years ago- since then all I have ever had is scammers.

The box I retrieved from storage is quite collectable stuff, ideal for ebay- I have managed to list a couple of bits but may leave it at that as with Myhermes also down again I am just fed up of sitting here . Strange thing is I can list on my business account , it is only my private account that is affected.

I've not done too badly, the scams are pretty obvious, and it does seem to getting momentum, a lot of the collectable stuff I like sells fast.

    What about Etsy?

I do have a limited number of items on etsy and for the amount I have listed I do quite well percentage wise. However, I do find their categories limited for some of the stuff I've hoarded.

Unfortunately for me ebay is the best platform still for the cross section of stuff I have to sell, both business and private. I do have a new website, just a little one and all my ebay buyers are sent a link to that site where my prices are cheaper, but I haven't made a sale yet.

Had issues with ebay last night and this morning. Another one for them to blame me, my computer, my connection and the neighbours dog and anyone but themselves.

I open the browser and click my ebay shortcut which takes me directly to my ebay summary. Basic page loads saying connection timed out and try connecting to the main website not using a saved link.

Smells of ebay not liking the fact that users are missing out on a lot of their advertisements. I wonder if they can see that not only do i jump directly to my ebay summary but i also block all their adverts and also all their collection rubbish?

Hmmm eBay / PayPal notifications glitching for me at the moment. Supposedly had a sale a few minutes ago but not received the usual emails from eBay and PayPal to tell me so. Payment is visible in my PP account though when I have checked.

  • looks like eBays invoicing is glitching.

Just sent an invoice to a guy in Germany and It showed every rate possible including Japan Australia etc and GB.. no real problem there as I can "remove".. an earlier combined invoice to a guy in Sweden (the combined invoice is cc'd in my mailbox) for two items was paid separately so an overpayment refund is due..

    what the init.......

The latest glitch is that my returns policy on my private account disappeared and I keep getting a warning flag that I cannot list without a policy. I've re added it only to have it disappear again and to get a warning that I can't list ........

Oh and I've also got a postage glitch but again only on my private account - I had a buyer say they couldn't find where to add the postage- when I looked to send them an invoice it was completely blank, as were two other non UK buyers that I tried to send an invoice for. Fingers crossed that my UK sales don't seem to be affected nor does my business account.
