Sky payment scam or Sky hacked

Has Sky been hacked or are they running some sort of scam. They tell me they have no payment details for me and that the card company has refused my monthly payment after over 20 years of card payments with no problems. The card company say Sky failed to put the card expiry date on the charge request and they just need to resubmit with correct details. All Sky's call lines immediately switch me into an automated system demanding I enter into a new Direct Debit system so I can't talk to anyone. Is this gross incompetency or less than honest dealing

  • Try amending your card details in your Sky account - maybe your bank has stopped sky taking payments from an old/out of date/lost/stolen card.
  • Hello,
I've been having virtually the same problem with Talktalk since beginning of Feb. They say I cancelled DD / changed account / my bank rejected DD etc..

My advice is keep on top of this: keep checking your bills for dodgy "DD rejection" charges, take screenshots of your bank DDs using online banking, ditto of any acceptance of DD details resubmission on Sky site, record conversations if you can or send confirmation emails to complaints/ customer service.

I'm 2 months in, with DD details resubmitted 3 times & still not out of the woods - I hope for your sake that Sky is better than TT! Good luck. :)
