    Good morning all.

Gers, I am so sorry to see your sad news xx

Not raining g here but cold and although I am warmly dressed, have just put the heating on since bits of me are very cold, especially feet despite thermal socks.

I need to do some work now, I have knitted a giraffe and a panda, read the paper or at least the less boring bits, have had enough of hearing about politicians and their grubby dealings. Cleaned the bathroom as it was in the usual used by men state, have spent many fruitless hours wondering why my two can't wash their hands neatly.

Now I must start, otherwise I never will. I am unmotivated today.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

  • Morning everyone
Sorry to read about your tragic news yesterday Ger big ((hugs)) to you and your family.

I'm determined to stay happy today. Been ill with cold lurgy all week but haven't felt down at all. Then yesterday husband acted like a stroppy teenager because whilst I was hoovering I knocked the phone wire box and it came off the wall and disconnected everything. He couldn't get it to work for ages and the air was blue. Made me feel really low and I could have murdered him, I went for a walk with DD1 to get out the house.

Today I'm going to bake some wholemeal bread in my breadmaker, send DH to Mr M to get a joint of meat and some of their 28p a bag Veg so we can have a Sunday roast. (I can't go as it's right next to my work place and currently off sick with this lurgy)
A lady collected some rabbit magazines and books I advertised on "free to a good home" this morning. I "kon marie'd" them. I had been hanging on to them for so long but didn't really need them.
Hope everyone has a good day

Thanks SO much everyone for your wishes and thoughts. It's been heartbreaking here and must be much worse over there. He was the eldest Oz son of my late brother and so young. The life support was switched off this afternoon. Initial thoughts are not a heart attack or blood clot or aneurysm so what exactly happened will have to wait for the PM.

I dashed down to Glasgow yesterday to tell Mum and then came back home this morning. There's lots to do before heading across to Melbourne and it's all so depressing. Many of you will have been through the same.

At least we all had the lovely party time in August when I went across to Brisbane for the surprise party for the youngest nephew. Life is strange indeed.

Once again, huge thanks, they all mean a lot.

Gers Very sorry to hear the news. At least you had August. I hope the travel arrangements aren't too difficult.

My thoughts were with you and your family at church this morning but I didn't get a chance to post.

    I have t'internet!!!!!:j:j:j:j

DDs and SIL came round to sort out the home hub etc for me and I now have the laptop working and youview, netflix etc as well.

The tv connections are not working but they are going to contact someone to look at aeriel connections so we can have tv in the living room, my bedroom and the big bedroom upstairs. They also e mailed a decorator to see about getting my bedroom done once building work is over. The living room furniture has been shifted around and looks much better and the huge ugly fireplace should be demolished in a couple of weeks, a modern fire installed creating more usable space and then that can be decorated, new lighting needed for there and bedroom and carpets.

We are all going away for a couple of days at the weekend and then back to the activity and confusion. I am trying to explain to youngest that I cannot unpack all the boxes until I have the built in furniture and cabinets to put things in ;)

I made roasted chicken and veg with roast potatoes, carrots and green beans and cabbage with apple and onion for lunch and am trying to keep worktops clear as there is not much space at the moment.

I did have a giggle when youngest came in asking how much a roll of wallpaper should cost - I said about ten quid a roll but it could go up to £20, £30 or more depending on what was chosen, She then showed me a roll of wrapped wallpaper identical to the one in the living room at the moment that she had found upstairs reduced to £2 a roll!!!! I thought the vendors had chosen it because it was what they liked not because it cost the least

Tomorrow youngest is coming to stay over for a day or two so looking forward to that.

    Hugs to all especially Gers

    Roll on tomorrow.

    Sleep well all.
