Wouldn't this fall under the auspices of the EA, and as such be an example of what the Disabled bays are for?
that is park in the disabled bay (EA issue) get ticket, complain to store that she is/was protected under the EA, store cancels ticket end of.From the Plain Language Commission:

She's not disabled though because she doesn't have a medical condition likely to affect her for at least 12 months.
She's not covered by the disability section of the EA. She does have limited protection under the sex discrimination part of the EA (which includes maternity provision) so she could shout 'discrimination' but I think it's more about basic unfairness and lack of common sense and woeful customer service ethic.
More about embarrassing Asda into cancelling it because it's plain wrong to treat her like that.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

9 months gone, yet shes driving herself to the supermarket at great risk to herself & the child? must be potty.
How is going to the supermarket a great risk to herself and her child?
As long as she's having a healthy pregnancy, and hadn't been told she needed bed-rest then most doctors and midwives would recommend staying active.
Even if she was in early stages of labour it wouldn't be risky. Being active speeds up labour, and I walked miles along hospital corridors trying to get labour speeded up.Zebras rock0 -
She is 'with child' but not 'with a child'. Regardless of the nitpicking over the exact form of words why don't the supermarkets have reserved spaces near the door for all those with mobility problems? Not because they are obliged to under the Equality Act but because it would be the decent thing to do for their customers (just like Parent & Child spaces). Plenty of people go shopping with a temporary disability or mobility problems not severe enough to qualify for a Blue Badge. They would appreciate a thoughtful supermarket that provided spaces for those who are pregnant or on crutches with a sprained ankle or old & wobbly on their legs & vote with their wallets & purses.Coupon-mad wrote: »A nine months pregnant lady is apparently not 'with child'!0
