Paid for a product that was never delivered.

Hello.
I would like to start out that I'm fairly new to online shopping in general, and since I am a EU citizen living in the UK for a few months, I don't really know the law too well or where to turn to help, so here I am.
On 29th, right after my birthday, I made an order, from this website, it's a ''indepented'' clothing brand, small company, but still with a plenty big follower count, and as I've made purchase from smaller companies before, it looked pretty legit. So the order was on 29th, and I paid 3 pounds more for express shipping. It's 19th march today, and still the product hasn't even been sent out. So I started reaching out to the company earlier, first their customer service e-mails, no answers after several messeges, then all their social media platforms (twitter, facebook, instagram). After a lot of attempts, as I commented on their facebook posts, people started pilling up about their order, that's when things got suspicios.
It wasn't just me, there were people waiting for 4 months, and still having no information about their order, as the comments pilled up, they finally reached out, saying they e-mailed the people information about their order.... never got the e-mail, guess it was a cover up to make their facebook page look ''legit''.

Well, now the main problem is, how to get a refund from a company that is ignoring you, so can't get a refund if they're simply not replaying, no phone nummber.
I contacted the host website that host their shops webpage, they told me to contact my bank for a refund, that they should have a ''protectiong mechanism'' of sorts.

Sorry, for the long rant, and the spelling errors, English isn't my 1st language. I'm happy to provide more information or the company itself if needed. Will appriciate any help.

Can you tell us who the company is please?

If you're sure it's UK based then look up how to write a "letter before action" and send it to their trading address, giving them 28 days to either issue a full refund or produce the goods as agreed at the time of sale.

    Also;

How much did you pay? and how did you pay? (debit card, credit card, etc...)
  • The company is - theantilife
    Based in UK.

I paid 53.18 pounds, not the largest sum, but money is money.. and I paid by a visa debit card.

Then contact your bank and start a chargeback for non-delivery.

This is part of visa and mastercards own system, so should be available even if you have not switched to a UK bank and are still using your debit card from home.

Just had a quick look on their website (https://www.theantilife.com/) and I'd run a mile personally.

No company number anywhere in sight, terms and conditions are non-existent, returns policy looks like a copy and paste job "If you are shipping an item over $75"(dollars???) - overall looks like it was put together by an amateur.

As unholyangel said; contact your bank and dispute the transaction, ASAP.

Never buy from any website that doesnt have a full trading address and a landline phone number at the minimum.

Seems there are several addresses for them and a quick check shows they have £8k worth of debt but only have £71.

Most of that is probably yours..

    C/o their accountant.
It appears they live in Liverpool and Mallorca and have quite a relaxed social life ..which may explain their " relaxed attitude" to getting you your goods... Or perhaps they've forgotten..
They are friends with the owner of drop dead clothing , the company belonging to Oli Sykes from the band bring me the horizon.
His girlfriend models for their clothes.
