This Polish delivery guy was in a rush and had my washer dryer on a trolley, then pulled it down and bounced it down these concrete steps (it was wrapped in styrophone etc) while delivering it to flat. Will that have damaged some components? Havent plumbed it in yet mind!

It will have had (might still have) transit bolts holding the drum. normally the installer will extract these, often have orange tags.
Hopefully you have already inspected it externally for any damage.0 -
The drums are locked in place with bolts so nothing much will have moved about, The circuitry should be designed to withstand vibration as they will vibrate a lot in use.
Have you checked the weight of the things? Getting one up concrete stairs at all is hard enough, Doing it without a bit of jarring would be nigh on impossible.0 -

What possible reason is there for mentioning the nationality of the person concerned?
Would you have preferred it to be an English delivery guy?0 -

An English delivery guy would have mumbled something about not being allowed to shift anything over 20kg, dumped the thing outside and said "f*** this", before getting back in his van.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

She could quite well have been a female delivery person... :cool:0 -
Do they uninstall them for free or do you have to pay for it (the bolts I mean)?0

You usually get the choice of self install or paid-for install. If you went for self install read the manual. If you start it up with the transit bolts in when it gets to the spin cycle it will likely find its own way back down those concrete steps.0
