It is far from irrelevant, if you had told us this first, a lot of posters would not have wasted time asking for info from you and googling the company. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Can we keep this cordial? I'm asking for help. Why wasted time - is it a lost cause do you think?0 -

So dad is going for a set-aside. Nothing else you can do but attend court and hope .... But clearly it was a company sale and company debts die with the company.
If a trader fails to disclose that they are a limited company and there is then a breach of contract, the consumer may be able to claim against the directors of the business as individuals
They did disclose. sellcars2you is a company. Why are you saying the limited company status wasn't disclosed ?0 -
Wasted time in the fact that if you had told all the facts in your first post, we would only be on post 12 rather than post 45!If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Yeah exactly. They purposely hid their limited status plus the business address they stated and provided was wrong.0 -

They hid nothing. You said both the website and receipt said ''sellcars2you''. So it was clear you were buying from a limited company.
I'm shocked you got 1K from the director. Maybe to buy time until he could get the judgement set aside, and then attempt to recover the 1K.0 -

Ahh ok so it's not the distinction of "Limited" that's an issue just whether it's a company at all would be a failure to disclose. If they led me to believe I was dealing with an individual rather than a company then the individual could then be liable - that's the point of it?0
