B&Q free pot. VENT

So we got a voucher for a free 30cm pot but guess what, there are 27cm and many other sizes but no 30cm pots and they are not expecting any in. The offer started today and we were there at 10am.
Just lost themselves a customer!

The trouble with time-specific offers is often logistics fail.

They might've had all the trucks lined up, filled with 30cm pots, but one driver didn't turn up for his shift .... or he turned up but was then stuck in a traffic jam .... or he arrived and some numpty dropped the whole pallet round the back and broke the lot. Or maybe Head Office don't know that the store you visited use a "lad" to put stock out .... and the lad doesn't start until an hour after everybody else, or had today off (and nobody thought the 30cm pots were 'important').

While companies can plan to run an event, an offer, if you're trying to run a time-limited offer in all stores, it must go wrong sometimes.

I can't even see any 30cm pots on the site. They're only cheapo pots, you'd have to pay me to have one

I bought the paper at about 1.15pm., went home, cut out the coupon, left to go to B & Q about 2.05pm.
I have a choice of three B & Qs to try, went to the largest, and probably nearest - ten minutes later found they had all gone. No, didn't ask how many went, but did find that I was about 30 mins. late.
Bought 3 x 10 litre compost packs for 50p each, which wasn't bad.

Perhaps the voucher only let them recieve a 30 cm pot? Anything smaller or bigger they would have to pay.
