Monese payments to bank account advice.

I have a Monese account and moved some cash to my wife's Halifax yesterday afternoon and I thought it would be sent by faster payments but over 16 hours later it's still not hit my wife's account.

So has any others sent money from there Monese account to a bank account and if so do they send them by faster payment or normal bacs payments?

Because as far as I can see on there website they send outward payments 4 times a day with the last payments sent at 5pm and I did mine at 2pm.

Generally, even for FP the deadline is the end of the next business day.

A payment sent by FPS yesterday has until the end of day on Monday to get to the receiving account, so there's plenty of time for it to happen still. I would be surprised if it's not a Faster Payment but as I know nothing about Monese it is possible that they could use a BACS Direct Credit, which takes 3 working days.

Was the transfer more or less than £1750?

We currently process outgoing payments at the following times; 09:30 GMT, 11:45GMT, 14:00GMT and 16:30 GMT. Transfers initiated after 16:30 on weekends or Bank holidays will be processed on the next business day.

My account is Verified and is less then £1750

It was sent at about 2.30pm so before the last payment run and I sent them a message and they payment has left my account and they are not sure why it's not hit my wife's account yet and there faster payment team is not there at weekends so they can't find out till Monday.

As explained previously there is nothing to investigate yet as the payment is not late, and won't be until the end of day on Monday.

I understand that now it's just I always thought that it's same day if sent by faster payments.

Also this is the email I got back from them this morning.

i Richard, Sorry for the delay, we are normally closed of a weekend. I have checked this payment and it has left our system completely and should have already have arrived a few hours later to your wife. I will check with our faster payment partner on Monday morning, unfortunately they are closed of a weekend

Meanwhile, can you give us a few words about Monese, if it's any good, how useful it is, etc? I think you would be the first.

Well not been with them very long but after the issue I have got with them I'm not sure I can say anything good about them yet.

But time will tell but will say that as there is no fees at the moment with them in happy about that.

But they can't run it fee free for ever so my mind my change when they bring in the fees.

This, [the existence of a third party partner] could be the problem, at the very least it adds another point of the journey at which delays could occur.
