    Yes, if still living in the old place definitely use that as the address because it is your correct address and it gives you the longer residential history there and easy electronic identity check passing. If you are a tenant at the old place then do not claim to be a home owner there, even if you do own one somewhere else. Match the ownership to the address given. So said at least one card firm when I asked in a similar situation.

    Checks just before completion do happen, I had repeat requests for bank statements within the final week.
