Maiden Name/Married Name application dilema

in Credit cards
Hello,
I am about to go back to work and would like to take out a 0% purchase card in the next month (my job starts at the beginning of Apr) to pay for my annual season ticket (£3080 assuming I don't need a travelcard season ticket).
I got married at the end of Sep last year, and have changed my name on my bank cards and Nationwide credit card, but not on my MBNA card. Nor have I changed my name on the electoral roll yet (although I do have the form to change that), or my passport, but have changed my driving licence.
My Nationwide card has a limit of £2,000 and is usually near the limit and it varies as to whether I pay the minimum amount, or more. My MBNA card has a limit of £5,300 (and currently has nothing on it, and no plans to spend on it), but a large APR of around 29% hence not wanting to use it for my season ticket. My salary will be £45,000. I have several questions based on the above:
1) Given that I want to apply in Apr for the card, should I do it in my maiden name, or my married name? When I use the MSE eligibility checker I get quite different results based on whether I use my married name or maiden name.
2) What is the likelihood of being able to get a credit limit that will cover me for the full season ticket amount? And am I more likely to get a higher amount in my maiden or married name (though this is a moot point if the answer to 1 is that I need to apply in my married name)? Any suggestions as to which card provider I should try?
Any/all suggestions gratefully received; having done a fair bit of reading and searching there doesn't seem to be much by way of up-to-date information.
Thank you!
