Campsite section 75?

Hello all, I booked 9 nights caravan pitch for the 25th March onwards, and received an e-mail today saying that the campsite had closed due to a serious unresolvable legal issue and the promise of a full refund when the site was sold as it has been placed on the market.

The cost was £259. I paid with a credit card in full, can I claim under section 75 then reimburse the credit card company is a refund ever materialises?

It was a long established reputable site that had won numerous awards over a number of years, not a random field with a tap.

I'd say you have a claim, yes.

Yes I would say you have a claim - it isn't your fault the supplier is locked in some kind of legal battle - who knows when or if the land will ever sell, if that's the actual true situation - either way this isn't your battle.
Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.
