help with belfast trip

Hi there, just need a little help with our trip to belfast. We need to go on the 10th october and would like to return on the 12th october. We will need flights and hotel for 2 people from any london airport.

Ive found some decent flights but am struggling with a decent but fair priced hotel near to belfast city airport as this is where we want to fly to.

Any help would be great on the hotel front, cheers

hi the city airport is very close to the centre of belfast so any hotel in the centre should do you ,have you tryed Days hotel ,or jurys or even the holiday inn (university street) + try a local taxi firm to bring you back to the airport it much cheaper
  • Hi there

Unfortunately there aren't any hotels around the city airport
A taxi from the city airport to most of the hotels in Belfast city centre should only cost about £6-8 each way as its so close. There are taxis right outside the terminal and then you get the hotel to call a local cab for the way back

Hotels in city centre - Days Inn, Travelodge, Holiday Inn express, Benedicts, Jurys

Mid week can be a wee bit more expensive due to business people but I'd definitely try the sites like Expedia etc... or try www.gotobelfast.com Belfast's tourist site as they might give more information on any deals the hotels have.

Having a hotel in the centre is good as you can walk to all the eating places, bars, clubs, shopping, tourist bus trips save you taxi money.

I live there so if you need any more help on anything let me know

Hope you have a good trip

  • your going to struggle to get a good hotel as we had the same problem, Belfast is very popular at the moment,

we stayed at the radisson SAS but it was £180 per night per room. Good luck in your search
The best work is the cheapest as the quality remains long after the price is forgotten

    Hi,
It seems Belfast is very very busy at the mo,the only place I could get in at is premier travel inn at Carrickfergus! How far away is it from Belfast centre exactly? And are there buses or trains going there and back?

Have you tried the Park Avenue Hotel. It is extremely close to the City Airport. It shouldn't cost more than £4 in a taxi. From there you have a choice of 3 or 4 buses to the city centre or a taxi into town should be no more than £5. I'd say it is reasonably priced also. It is rumoured to have the best steak in Northern Ireland.
