I've always said it should if it wants to ... always ... I've also said I think it is very unfair that it doesn't
I don't think it should be in WM however... I would personally like to see it in the north of the country as London gets so much and the north gets shafted at every turn
But it would be totally up to the people of England if they should have one and also where it should be if they decide to have one
I would never dream of arguing either side of the argument or telling the English what they should and shouldn't do
Maybe I just respect the people of England too much
So you won't tell the English what to do, except suggest where the English parliament should be located...err, okay
I think Scotland may need independence. The reasoning is that as economic conditions remain tough we could easily see a rise in nationalism across the UK and in Europe.
UKIP are quite accomplished at selling populism and division. If they gain political capital out of pointing to the Scottish funding situation, and link it to free higher education and prescriptions, they will. The balance of funding could easily change.
You may have support down here still, but I think Nicola Sturgeon is doing a good job of alienating that support.0 -
At least he is more honest in what he believes in.
I don't see the problem. The SNP hate UKIP, therefore UKIP can ignore the dominant party in Scotland.
Do you think England should have it's own political assembly, or is that only reserved for Wales/Scotland/NI ?
Incidentally ... are you aware also that the SNP isn't Scotland ? Paul Nuttal wants no Scots in the houses of parliament ... he didn't say no SNP0 -

Notice how I said personally ... please feel free to start a thread on an English parliament so that I wont need to suggest or persuade people ... u asked my opinion I gave it ... I also stated I would not interfere should the occasion happen
I would like to see is not in anyway suggesting that's what should happen ... what I want to see doesn't matter in terms of English politics ( unless I choose to move there) I am of no consequence ... it is entirely up to the people living in England to decide how they want their political landscape to look
But feel free to twist the words as you see fit0 -
Nicola has been doing quite well over in Ireland today ... whilst a £20m bung by labour has been discovered ...0

I have no problem with you or anyone suggesting an English parliament.
I do have a problem with the current devolution structures. People frequently talk about UK political inequity on here being the fault of Westminster; Westminster is in London; and there is an association with English domination.
The reverse happens with SNP and Scotland as you say.
It all feels a bit unbalanced. Either fix the imbalances which cause problems on both sides, or separate completely.0 -
Well I'm sure you know by now what I want0

Aye in a few years that's the plan ... but that has nothing to do with the question Kayari asked
Like the majority of people I would like more than one thing in life ... the dinner I want tonight will be different from the dinner tomorrow ... wow I want more than one thing ... jings shucks help make boab whit will we dae0 -

And your proof is ........... or are you attempting to once again state that the Scots hate the English ?
