Post office credit card, very poor service.

I have just joined the forum to let other people know that the credit card from the Post office as promoted on this site is not very well managed with very poor customer service. I applied in January for the card & was accepted straight away. The card, pin etc arrived, their website is very poor & you can't manage your account online you have to ring a 0345 number. I have rang a few times about my account & the customer service advisers give you information but the information is wrong. The website is supposed to be updated by March this has not happened. To add another card/person to the account you have to jump through hoops. I have written two letters of complaint to them but no replies as yet? I set up a direct debit in January the payment was not taken on the due date, I had to ring again & pay over the phone? I was informed it takes a full month for the direct debit to become valid, what? I have spent on the card & now have the 27 month interest free, but if I knew the service was this bad I would not have spent on the card & closed the account.

You should possibly have had a read through the forum before, several threads and Miami posts complaining about post office and bank of Ireland accounts.

Agreed, anyone reading this should AVOID anything under Post Office Money administered by Bank of Ireland.

I waited 13 weeks after reporting a fault, and letters plus calls both ways, to be told "ring general customer services". Complaints team didn't even try and fix it themselves. Disgusting and it's currently going through the Financial Ombudsman.

You'd think the Post Office would be ashamed to have their name under such shoddy products, well let me tell you, they don't give a flying fig.

Yes, dreadful service here too - heard on the grapevine though that BoI are backing out of all UK banking and that the Post Office has found a new UK based provider - don't know how true it is..
Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.

Nothing to see here, move along.

    Me too :(

Went for the 0% balance transfer deal.
Just hope they don't screw it up so I never have to deal with customer services.

I'd be surprised if this is true given the Post Office signed a long term agreement with Bank of Ireland in 2012 until 2023!

"BANK OF IRELAND EXTENDS EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE POST OFFICE
Today, Bank of Ireland and the UK Post Office are announcing that we have agreed a new contract and operating model for the joint venture financial services business that will see our relationship extend to 2023."

    A press release:

is not quite the same as a legally binding agreement without break clauses...
