IPOD Not Charging Battery Problems

Hi I have IPOD generation 4 I think, has not been used much from new. Battery will not charge properly. Any advice please?

Many thanks

Can you expand on "battery will not charge properly" please, i.e. does the device charge to a certain % or does the device charge fully but when taking off charge the battery drains really quickly, or does the device look like it has charged fully but soon as you disconnect from the charger the device dies?

If you've not used it much since new (4th gen release around 2010-2013) then the battery is less likely to hold charge.
  • Hi, thanks for reply. After charging battery, device says low battery, connect power. I know you can buy new batteries but I don't think I would like replace myself.

    Thanks

So when charging it shows full but soon as you take it off charge it switches to low battery? Are you charging with USB from computer or via an apple uk plug charger?

Yes, they can be replaced but is quite a tricky task...

I have tried both methods. Say battery is full than battery is low in power. Have been quoted about £20.00 to replace, will have to do that I think as you say it can tricky.

    Thanks
