Problem Switching Energy
Options
We recently tried to switch my mother in laws gas and electric on the Big Deal through the sun..... We all live together but its her house...It was refused by the energy supplier as apparently the National Database says she has a Prepayment Meter installed!? She doesnt and NEVER has had......we contacted them and they advised it was a hitch and to try again...
So we did..... no reply for weeks.... so i contacted them and they had no record of her at all.... They took some details and said hang on while i check the database... So low and behold they come back and say ..... NOPE we can change her she has a prepayment meter... I tell them she hasnt and never has had..... They couldnt offer any advice what to do.... any ideas anyone?
We feel a little lost as what is the next step?

Contact the existing supplier and ask them what record they have, and to confirm that they have been billing her for a credit meter for x years.
Check if the MPAN number on her billing matches the database. if not, then that may be the issue.
