My wooden shed was painted 3 years ago, paint start fading.

You need to go for a spirit based product such as Architectural Solignum.
Its sold in various colours and easy to apply but the timber must be dry so best applied during the Summer.
It doesn't flake or peel but does soak into the grain of the timber which water-based treatments don't do. Logically you want a treatment that soaks right in rather than sit on the surface of the timber ,which all water based products do.
It will outlast any water based product but the downside is its expensive and costs around £60-00 for 5ltrs. It has a very thin consistency ,almost like water but it covers really well and 2 coast should be fine for at last 5-7 yrs. A 3rd coat can be applied if you wish which will help it last even longer..
Whatever you do ,just don't go for a water-based stain unless you want to be re-coating it every couple of years.0 -
For removing algae in the past I've used patio or driveway algae cleaner, either sprayed or painted onto the timber. Most of them have an active ingredient that kills the algae making it easier to brush or scrub off.0

I use Jeyes Fluid, brushed or sprayed on to remove algae.0

I've just used Wicks own brand to do my shed. Went on lovely, just one coat needed, and was on special offer. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0
