DFS have sent me the wrong legs, but I've decided I don't like the sofa anyway

I've ordered a lovely sofa from DFS, and it's arrived, but with the wrong legs. This should be easy for DFS to swap, but I've sat on the sofa for one evening and have decided it's really, really uncomfortable - to the extent that I woke up this morning in pain, with pulled shoulder muscles!
So my question is, would I be able to lever the fact they've mucked up my order in order to choose a different sofa?
I suspect not, as I think sellers have the right to rectify.
If not, does anyone have any other advice to somehow swap my choice for something else? I'm willing to incur any fees should there be any.
Cheers,
Dave

@silver-surfer (good nickname btw!), I went into the store and sat on loads of sofas and eventually chose this one.
@ossie, nice try, but they have my order and know it's the right sofa (just the wrong legs)0 -
You've definitely got the wrong legs, if you can sit on a sofa and pull a muscle in your shoulder:D0

Did I sign in to the "comedy" forum by mistake!? :P0

As you purchased in store there is no automatic right to return. You will need to check DFS terms
It may well be that it will soften up through use, I assume the one you sat on in the shop felt different as it had been sat on by people testing it0 -

As the item delivered was not to the same specification as ordered, the OP does have the right to refuse to accept it.
DFS may well try to force you to accept then swopping the legs over but you don't have to allow them to do so.0 -

Hi Hermione, and thanks for the advice.
Is this the actual law? How confident can I be of standing my ground?
Could they turn round and say "well, we'll replace the ENTIRE sofa then if you're going to play hardball" or can I sever the contract here and expect a refund / alternative replacement?0 -

That's really good news, thanks!
I've actually already notified them of the issue with the legs, but before I'd sat on the sofa. Any thoughts on how that might affect things?0
