Pre existing conditions on medical insurance

Hi can anyone help please? I've just had my travel insurance claim refused after I had to seek medical help for a UTI whilst on holiday in December, as they state it was a pre-existing condition because I also happened to have a UTI in 2007, 2010 and 2012?! Surely this isn't a pre existing condition, it's an infection??!

Did you answer all their questions honestly & fully? Their questions can be pretty loosely worded. Ours says
You will not be covered for anything that arises from, is related to, or has been caused by, ANY
    pre-existing medical conditions
"Is related to" would probably cover your case. We tell them everything, back pain, headaches, previous UTI, IBS, the list goes on.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • Thought I had been - I thought I was healthy!! I thought a condition would perhaps be something that would CAUSE a number of UTIs rather than the UTI being a 'condition'.

    Challenge their decision.

They should explain the question they asked and the answer you gave that lead them to decline the claim.

    Then you have the FOS.

The op had an infection while she was on holiday, visited the doctor and says she had a small medical bill having got antibiotics.

I cant see what the OP is claiming....... she had no losses other than this. It did not disrupt her holiday.

The small medcal beill was probably less that her excess.

So again OP, what were you claiming for
