Our current cat, was a bit fussy with food - as result she's on boiled fish + a pouch, her weight has gone up from 4.27 to 5.38kg.

Morrisons, Tesco & Sainsburys all sell frozen (own label) fillet of white fish, it ranges from £1.47 (M), to £1.80 (T & S) for 450gm., usually five or six pieces in a bag.

  • Zooplus do a very good value German brand of renal food... Kattovit - it must be pretty tasty too as my cat was happy to eat it (having turned his nose up at a different type).

You can buy a small sample pack for £3.79 for six mini 85g tins, if he/she takes to it they sell a bulk pack of 12 x 400g tins for £15.99.

This works out to 33p for 100g which is roughly the same price as the likes of an 100g Felix/Whiskas pouch. By comparison the Royal Canin food from your vets is 83p per pouch, or 98p per 100g!

    Sample tins - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/canned_cat_food_pouches/kattovit/kattovit_urinary/61668

    Bulk pack - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/canned_cat_food_pouches/kattovit/kattovit_urinary/61668

PS I know the links say urinary for some reason but it takes you to the renal food.

Thank you again so much for all the help and advice,
I have placed an order with zooplus and ordered some of the different varieties of food,
I have got royal canin, kattovit, integra and beaphar in some different flavours for her to try.
I think the hardest thing is to keep her away from the other 3 cats
food,at the moment she thinks shes missing out.
Again thank you to all you lovely people for your help,I feel much better prepared now.
    Charlie.
