Convert cash/deposits of EUR to £££ in UK

I have some EUR in cash and a EUR bank account with Barcays.

Where can I get the best rate to convert them in £££?
Barclays online facility is a steal

If the EUR bank account is in your name, you could use Revolut to convert the funds to GBP at the interbank exchange rate.

There would be no charges in the (unlikely) event that you have a EUR debit card with the Barclays account, otherwise you would need to load the Revolut EUR balance by bank transfer, which takes a few days. As you would be sending it to Revolut's own EUR account with Barclays this may also be free or with minimal charges (it would be interesting to know, if/when you try).

Then you simply convert the EUR to GBP within the Revolut smartphone app, and withdraw to bank or use with the prepaid Mastercard.
