Very quiet resort during the summer holidays. Possible?

I would really like to take my 2 boys ( 16 and 12) on holiday this summer time.

But my 16 yr old suffers with severe anxiety, so we are looking for somewhere quiet, away from the crowds, but still all inclusive or at least HB.

Is this possible do you think?

EDIT- I am now looking for somewhere cooler, not with a pool. Finland/Austria etc.

I actually considered these places, but the price doesn't reflect the degree of risk!

Tenerife..... Los Gigantes or Puerto de la Cruz could be a good choice. Los Gigantes would be quiet for a relaxing break, Puerto a bit more lively but not rowdy as it is a much more relaxed resort catering more to the Spanish/German lifestyle rather than your British idea of "fun"

They're quieter than other resorts but certainly not quiet, especially in the school holidays.

What is your budget OP? There are places that fit the bill but they are generally very expensive and not aimed at children.

    Thanks guys.

My budget is £1500-2000 for the week. I'd prefer £1500, but would stretch to £2000 if i found somewhere that ticks all boxes.

    We would like:

    -Somewhere hot
-With a pool, or on the beach
    -Within 5 hours of UK
-Somewhere i dont have to hire a car

The most important thing is that it cant be busy. My son has severe social anxiety, so the quieter the better.

I wonder if i am asking the impossible? I dont mind near an airport, and think maybe a smaller island would be better? We definitely DON'T want anything with lots of young children, kids clubs etc.

Far quieter than PDLA or LC but if nearly dead is wanted then Las Caletillas

You could look at Greece or Turkey, a lot of former self catering places now offer half board anD all inclusive options. As they were originally self catering they are quite small and only have a small number of rooms.

Try looking at Dalyan or Ovacik in Turkey as these are smaller resorts, not far from the airport but have plenty to do nearby if you do want to venture out for day trips.

In Greece why not look at what of the smaller island like Skiathos / Skopelos, Lesvos or even Halkidiki. Flights will be more limited though so the days may not suit. If you want more flexibility you could try Western Crete (Chania) which is relatively quiet yet or a smaller resort such as Marmari in Kos, Moraitika in Corfu,or Kremasti in Rhodes.

Or why not consider a villa or private rental so that you can have your own space? I know it's not half board or all inclusive but it may be a good option still.

    Thanks Lea.

i had thought about renting a villa, with a pool. But i was thinking that more than likely, i would need to drive to get anywhere.
I am not confident driving abroad, so thats definitely not an option.

Also, i would really love at least HB, as i cook every single night and would enjoy a week off :)

A villa sounds like a good idea, but your options will be limited if you don't drive. An apartment in a private complex might also be a good option - you can search for them on TripAdvisor.

If you could guarantee like minded families I'd suggest Eurocamp in France, but it's completely hit and miss as to who you might get next door. Plus they're more easily accessed by car.

I'm like your son in this respect, and any catered option would be hell for me. They're generally buffet based so lots of people milling around and even in the nicest of resorts it's going to be busy and chattery noisy. At least if you've got your own catering facilities that can be a nice time out for him (even if not for you!).

Is quieter enough for him, or does he really need quiet? If the latter, I'd honestly forget any resort in the school holidays. Sorry :(

Why not have a look at Northern Cyprus. Went there many years ago and it was reasonably quiet. May be worth having a chat with the people on the below link.
