I disagree with everything you have said, therefore your opinion is nullified.
Elsien: prices will vary from area to area, and the size of firm may also have some bearing on the cost too; they'll all say they're either qualified or approved in some way (for the record, none of them are 'insurance approved'. A very misleading statement). Have a phone around and gather some quotes. See what your gut instinct says. A recommendation always helps especially if coming from a reliable and trustworthy source. Generally speaking, the best available products are genuine, OE branded. Aftermarket glass can also be decent especially if it is Saint Gobain (Sekurit) Pilkington, Guardian, AGC Splintex for example. Beware of cheaper and inferior products from China (XYG and FY) and Poland (Nordglass). There is also Shatterprufe (RSA) which can be very hit and miss.0 -
Call around to get a few quotes. I had a range of £80 - £400 for a new windscreen
Best to hire a car for a few days if you don't want points on your licence for driving an unfit vehicleChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
