Double glazing quotes for London

I need to get double glazing for my 3 bed semi in London, 12 windows (upvc).
I'm looking at ballpark figures from research and companies/builders even quote between 4-6k.
Is this a realistic price to pay?

A lot depends on quality & grade of glass etc. For 12 windows, I think £4k might be a rather on the unrealistic side. Best to get at least 3 quotes then weigh up what each company offers & who you feel you'd prefer to have do the work.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
