Dear All,

I recently found out that a someone I know is the treasurer of a branch of an organisation with charitable status.

While this is normally nice to hear, as it's voluntary, this person has told me before that she is in an IVA.

Is it legal for her to be a treasurer of a charity?

It seems a bit strange to me.

You certainly cannot be a trustee of a charity if you are in an IVA. Whether the "treasurer of a branch" would qualify as a trustee of that particular charity, I do not know.
