Read the thread! A previous poster stated that only amatuers used water - which is rubbish, as I said. I never mentioned brand names, that was previous posters.:)
The industry does attract a lot of people with OCD, and they will go to the nth degree with some of this stuff. Like saying dont use tapwater use deionised water because tapwater contains minerals which may "scratch the paint".
The minerals are so tiny and if they were to "scratch2 the paint it will be at such a mollecular level it wont even be noticable by the human eye. Also the same sort of scratch could be inflicted on the pain just driving along the motorway and having brake dust glide over the bonnet. it's OCD - extremely OCD.0 -

Other times I used too much compound which made it a PITA to clear up with IPA as the compounds tends to stock to the car when it dries.
You wet the sponge and spin off in a bucket.
Then run a line of compound about 20cm long. Start to the right of the line, lift the leading edge of the mop slightly (left side), and spin the compound onto the mop by moving right to left, with the line entering the mop at about 10 o'clock.
You can get a good amateur finish in one shot with G3 or equivalent.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
