VW Passat Question

I current have a Ford Focus but I'm looking to change to a VW Passat.
I bumped into a website at one point that went through the different variants of the Focus. So the basic model through to the Ghia.
I chose the Ghia because it came with cruise control and could play MP3 CDs. Although most, if not all Focus cars have an aux in, MP3 CDs are a lot easier for me.
Is there such a list for the Passat?

Have you visited the VW website and/or downloaded a brochure? That would be my first port of call.0

Your budget is an important bit of info
If you are buying nearly new or new then it is unlikely that the functions you require won't be available.
If it is a deal breaker and a car otherwise fits the bill then why not just for an aftermarket head unit then you can take it with you to a different vehicle.
I got a cheap Sony Head Unit for the Berlingo that had no CD player, just USB(iPod), Aux and Radio.
Model name was DSX-A40UI and it was under £40 as it was on sale. It does MP3 files aswell, also mentions WMA under Playability but I have my a clue what that means!
Even has an RCA output for Sunwoofer and came with a remote control.
There was a better model that you could Bluetooth your Music and which had a CD player which was £70/80. You would need to check but I can't see it not accepting MP3 files on CD if the cheaper one accepts MP3 files on a USB stick.
I must admit that I don't use CDs in the car anymore, in my now departed Jag I used Bluetooth from my iPhone and Note 2. USB in the Berlingo and Bluetooth in the Picanto.
I don't think it is hard to put your music CDs on USB or even onto your iPod/iPhone. A mate of mine put all his music (inc vinyl) into his iPhone, now he has 30 odd years of his Music collection on his phone. So no car full of CDs. He has a 128gb iPhone and I am sure he said he had over 1000 songs on it.0
