Balance transfer from Barclaycard visa/amex to Halifax?

Been trying to find an answer to this but can't.

I want to balance transfer from barclaycard to to halifax. When I initially used the online system to do this it was not completed, simply stating "fail".

I'm guessing the issue ois possibly two-fold, firstly it's from an amex card, sort of. The barclaycard is actually supplied with both a visa and amex, originally I attempted the amex as I believe this has the majority of the balance I want transferred but there's no simple way for me to check this.

So, how do I do this? Do I list both cards in the balance transfer, visa and amex? It's basically a single account supplied with 2 different cards, how do I ensure that the balance transfer reflects the right amount from each card in this case as I can't look back far enough in my statements to check what card carries what balance because it's a single account.

Id try using the Visa card number on the form.

If that's not successful, don't know!

You don't have a balance on different cards. It is one account as you said, one balance, with two different ways of spending on it. Use the visa number as it is the most conventional one and if it doesn't work online phone Halifax to ask.

Remember to stay within your limit on the Halifax card. You need to leave headroom for any fees and some cards have a lower BT limit that you also need to stick to.

The visa card is the main card on the account, so you should use that one.
when i ever i get messages about my amount, it will always say its the account ending in XXXX.
which relates to the Visa card

i've done a transfer from the same Barclaycard account to Halifax without a problem
