Trip to Cornwall?

Hi

I'm planning to visit my brother in Torpoint in Cornwall, but i cannot find out the cheapest way to travel for me and 3 kids..

I looked on the TFL website but on the journey planner it wouldn't search for destinations to Cornwall. I also looked on National Express Coaches website but it wouldn't search for Cornwall either..any suggestions?

I don't really want to phone up as i'm no good on the phone, but i guess if i have to i will

unfortunately you are at the mercy of local transport links once you hit the borders of cornwall, for instance you can get national express to Plymouth then a local bus to continue to Torpoint:D or catch the ferry across

Torpoint is on the outskirts of Plymouth anyway so it wouldn't be any good going any further :D have a great trip,it's lovely there.

Travelinesw may produce a route but it depends exactly where in "middle earth" you are starting from. Perhaps a more specific start point would enable more helpful suggestions to be produced.

I've checked the trains on various dates and unless you have rail cards it will cost between .................£97 and £147:eek:

if you use the megabus link above and play with the dates you can do it for approx £50 or less

it all depends on the dates and your flexibility

yea, its quite pricey to get down to Cornwall - I live in London and my family are in Lands End so I dont get to see them very often due to expensive train fayre and the fact that the coach which is slightly cheaper takes about 10 hrs!
I have toyed with the idea of getting the mega bus to plymouth (from London) £1 each at its cheapest and then its affordable to traval from Plymouth - I've never actually done it though!
    The alternative is car hire....
I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!
