Going by Autotrader valuation and ebay sold prices, yes, it's too much.0

Nephew bought a 2005 Corsa SXi not last November but the one before that (2014) and he only paid £600 for it.
No idea if it was any good because it only lasted a few weeks before he crashed it.
I ignore all adverts where they protect their phone number. No mention of a service history or any work recently done etc.
I wouldnt put that on my long list never mind the shortlist.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Car is worth what somebody will pay for it.
Even at auction that car could easily be pushed to £600 plus premium (another £150/180 probably) if a couple of people are interested in it.
SXi is not a base model and it has a few hundred quid worth of wheels on it.0 -

Why? You're still getting through to the seller when you call the protected number. All of my previous sales have included a protected number and once I've had a chat with the potential purchaser on the phone, I always give them my proper number anyway.0 -

Most people do to prevent scam calls offering to sell it for you, and it discourages time wasters, as it is a premium rate.
Standard procedure is to ring, express interest and get a normal number.
As regards the car in the advert, I'd be suspicious that it shows evidence of the oil being topped up. Vauxhalls generally don't use a drop between services unless severely thrashed, or there is A Problem.
Looks like something is missing on the right of the engine too, been 4 years since I had one, so I can't remember what is supposed to be there.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Because scammers and dodgy traders also use it to avoid having their phone number appear on several adverts.
Maybe just me, but i dont bother contacting those with hidden numbers.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I think you are referring to the ABS unit.
No, there are 3 holes in a ring under where the wires go into the coilpacks that look as if something should be fixed there, and the coilpack wires look a bit bare too.
I had a 2003 Corsa, but I didn't take photos under the bonnet.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
