New bank account

Hi
I am looking for a joint bank account which doesn't have to be your main current account (i.e. switch) for you to gain the benefits of the account.
Aside from the accounts that you have to pay each month for, what are the best options for reward accounts in terms of bonus payments?
many thanks

No bank account has to be your "main" bank account. Indeed most bank accounts are probably used in place of savings accounts.Hi

Reward accounts are Halifax Reward account that pays you £5 each month bit you need a couple of DD mandates on it and you have to pay in £750 per month. Barclays Blue Rewards pays £7 a month, but charges you £3 a month to have it, nett gain of £4 a month. There are strings attached and you ought to look at what they are yourself.0 -

It looks like you have to switch your account to get many of the bonuses which isn't a option for this account I am trying to set up.0

Yes, to get a switching bonus you have to switch from your existing account to a new account. I can't think of any bank account that you can open and get a bonus for doing so, without switching an existing account. It looks like you have to switch your account to get many of the bonuses which isn't a option for this account I am trying to set up.0 -
It's only the switching bonus that requires you to switch. You get all the benefits listed (5% interest, 5% regular saver, 5% contactless payments) just by opening a new account.0

But when the switching bonus is £150 upwards then it's higher return than interest for most people so well worth making the most of.It's only the switching bonus that requires you to switch.
