10p eBay listing day

3 Sept 2007

What’s the deal?

This Thursday 6 Sept 2007 , eBay* is having a 10p Listing Day, so it's a great time to dejunk those cupboards.

What’s included?

The offer’s valid on Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) auctions. See full T&Cs

How much will I pay?

While it only costs 10p to list your item, you’ll still have to pay a sale charge if someone buys it. This is a percentage of the auction’s closing price.

As an example, if you sell your item for £28 you’ll pay only a 10p listing fee, then £1.47 sale charge. See a full breakdown of eBay fees.

How to make the biggest savings.

It’s worth remembering you don't pay a sale charge if your item doesn’t sell; so if no one buys it you’ll only lose 10p.

Also normally, the more expensive your item, the more expensive the listing fee. For instance items priced under 99p cost only £15p to list, whereas items over £100 cost £2. So the biggest savings are on items with a high buy-it-now price of £100. Though you’ll still save a bundle if you’re listing lots of small items.

* Using these links helps the site stay ad-free and free to use, as they’re ‘affiliated links’ which invisibly take you via commercial price comparison services like Moneysupermarket or Find, which then pay this site per click

You shouldn’t notice any difference, the links don’t impact the product at all and the editorial line (the things I write) is NEVER impacted by the revenue. If it isn’t possible to get an affiliate link for the best product, it is still recommended and still included. For the sake of transparency go to www.ebay.co.uk for an unaffiliated link.
