water inside double glazing

What is the cure?
How about a gas blow torch to heat the glass and therefore the air inside, hopefully for the air and some of the moisture to be pushed out from inside. and when it cools maybe the moisture will not be so visable.
Problem is possible melting of rubber seals though if the glass gets too hot on the edge of the frames.
I doubt anyone has tried this but I think it's worth a try.
Alternatively, there is a video on youtube, drill 2 holes one at top one at bottom, a DIYer could do this, and wash it out as shown, and suck out any remaining water at the bottom. Though getting it very dry inside will be difficult, perhaps hot air pumped in somehow through the bottom hole? (or a blow torch applied to the glass)
Then resealing with 2 grommits.
Although I think it would be better if the holes were drilled from the inside as it rains on the outside... rags and towels can be used to collect any water flushed through.

You need to remove the window and take it to someone who can inject the required gas into it and reseal the unit.
Your plan will get rid of the humid air but as soon as your window cools it will draw in the humid air again defeating the point. You need to seal it so it can't draw any more air in.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

You need a new double glazing unit. Any kind of "repair" would be a bodge IMO and new units aren't too dear unless the window is huge.0

If a repair is a bodge it does not matter as long as the end result is a clearer or completely clear window.
And especially does not matter if the house is being sold, and you are trying to clear them for the marketing of the house.0 -
go with the blow torch.......
So your trying to con someone into buying your house with clear windows
get them fixed properly, or reflect the condition in the price.
by the way I was joking.0 -

The desiccant in the spacer bar which absorbs any moisture has become saturated. When the glass heats up it evaporates the water and causes condensation on the glass. This means that you only usually see the problem when the sun in on the glass.
If you decide to replace the failed units you need to make sure that they are the same as the others.0 -
Hey when you try remember to film it so we can all have a good laugh.0

That's not what happened. Doubled glazed unit are sealed. As the units are heat cycled eventually the seal gives up allowing moist external air into the unit then you get condensation into the unit.0
