Different reporting with 2 agencies....???

Maybe someone can shed some light...
I had a defaulted account, originally with Saniburys, then the debt was sold to IDEM. In May last year I made a CCA request to them for which they were unable to produce ANY information, as a result the account in frozen until such time they can produce it.
There is no record of Sainsburys on either credit file.
Using Clearscore, the IDEM account shows in the closed section of my credit fie.
Using Noddle it still shows in the Current Section....
Why would it be reported differently....?

Hi
I can’t think of any particular reason other than IDEM possibly giving different credit agencies different information for some reason, or possibly an error. You could ask IDEM directly to see whether they have an explanation.

A National Debtline says, credit reference agencies depend on lenders reporting to them and not all of them are reported to.
Consider for example my credit history at Noddle, Equifax and Experian. The credit files at Noddle and Equifax has numerous entries covering everything, bank accounts, credit cards, catalogue accounts, phone, energy, loans both current and settled. But my Experian credit history only has 2 credit cards and a settled British Gas account. Furthermore when I apply for credit only Experian is searched and not the other two.
So therefore there is the ludicrous situation where lenders only search Experian and then only report to the other two. If everyone is the same as me then lenders do not get the full picture of anyone's credit worthiness!0 -
i didnt really want to rock the boat as with at least one of the agencies its shown as closed, if i speak to them it may get changed - was just curiousDebt free since Jan 2016
