Bank switching general questions

Hi guys,

I've just opened a Barclays current account and a natwest current account, my plan is to work through bank switchs for the rewards, as I've literally just opened both accounts and both have £0 balance will either the new switched accounts (first direct and Hslifax most likely) or the current banks have any issues with this? I can't see anything in the relevant T&C's? And I will complete the hoop jumping required to obtain the free cash (paying in to the new account as specified)

The stock answer to questions like this is "what do the T&Cs say (or not say)"


But realistically I would put some funds into the donor account. Do the receiving bank's T&C say that there needs to be DDs on the account to qualify? If so then they need to be set up and have paid out once to be able to get the full benefit - so again you should put some funds in to cover that.
